On April 24, from 16:00 to 17:30 Kyiv time, a new session in the “Alliance for Dialogue” series will take place, titled “Dialogue for Peace and Stability in Ukraine”. This international webinar will serve as a platform to reflect on the necessity and challenges of integrating dialogue into efforts for long-term peace and stability in Ukraine.
Among the speakers is Nataliia Bezkhlibna, Head of the Secretariat of the Ukraine Community of Dialogue Practitioners (UCoDP). In her presentation “Navigating Ukraine’s Dialogue: Key Groups and Essential Topics for War-Time and Post-War Times”, she will outline who the key stakeholders are and what issues are critical to address through dialogue - both during the ongoing war and in Ukraine’s post-war recovery.
The panel discussion will bring together international experts to explore the role of dialogue as a tool for understanding and stabilization in the context of armed conflict. Topics will include the benefits and possibilities of inclusive peace and dialogue and the differing approaches within the peacebuilding community regarding the war in Ukraine.
Special attention will be given to lessons learned from the inclusion of civil society in the Minsk negotiations (2014–2021) and how this experience might inform present and future peace efforts.
The discussion is expected to open up a vital space for analysis of how civil society, the state, and international actors can collaborate in building inclusive peace.
The webinar will be conducted in English.
