About us

The Ukrainian Community of Dialogue Practitioners (UCoDP) is a self-organized professional network of more than 30 members, including experts, independent consultants and NGOs. Those include practitioners and researchers who have been working for more than 20 years in the fields of dialogue, mediation, conflict resolution and peacebuilding in Ukraine and internationally.

Our community is based on the common principles of local actors' agency, inclusiveness, trauma and conflict sensitivity, and is based on previous experience of dialogue and conflict management in the context of the war in Ukraine since 2014.

Mission of the Community:

To create social fabric and social transformation through dialogue.

Vision of the Community:

To combine efforts to promote the dialogue approach by professionalizing dialogue, ensuring the quality of dialogue practices, and achieving subjectivity.

This community of practice is based on common principles including local ownership, inclusiveness, trauma- and conflict sensitivity and is rooted in the experience of facilitating previous dialogues in Ukraine, especially following the beginning of the war in 2014. CoDP members currently implement projects on resilience and social cohesion among central and local authorities, local communities, schools, veterans and internally displaced persons (IDPs) all over Ukraine. The UCoDP is a member of the Mediation Support Network and the Alliance for Peacebuilding.
